Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions to the Ron Greener article, but for legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

Feel free to re-submit a new version of the article. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later."

You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here. You can also leave a message on my talk page. The JPStalk to me 17:56, 25 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not post copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder, as you did to Craig Liddle. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites (http://www.darlington-fc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/PastPlayerDetail/0,,10339~669217,00.html in this case) or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If you believe that the article is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) then you should do one of the following:

  • If you have permission from the author leave a message explaining the details on the article Talk page and send an email with the message to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
  • If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted under the GFDL or released into the public domain leave a note at Talk:Craig Liddle with a link to where we can find that note;
  • If you own the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the GFDL, and note that you have done so on the article Talk page. Alternatively, you may create a note on your web page releasing the work under the GFDL and then leave a note at Talk:Craig Liddle with a link to the details.

Otherwise, you are encouraged to rewrite this article in your own words to avoid any copyright infringement. After you do so, you should place a {{hangon}} tag on the article page and leave a note at Talk:Craig Liddle saying you have done so. An administrator will review the new content before taking action.

It is also important that all Wikipedia articles have an encyclopedic tone and follow Wikipedia article layout. For more information on Wikipedia's policies, see Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Notability of Dereham Aces F.C.

A tag has been placed on Dereham Aces F.C. requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Julius Sahara 17:19, 2 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Shaun Reay, and it appears to be very similar to another wikipedia page: Sean Reay. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. Super-collapse templates

Please stop removing the new "Super-collapse templates" from the football manager pages. These were introduced after a discussion at WP:FOOTBALL — see [1] — to avoid the clutter that is growing at the foot of many such pages. Thankyou. --Daemonic Kangaroo (talk) 04:57, 3 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I was wondering why you're removing wikilinks to managers without articles on football managers templates? They're notable and having a wikilink should help encourage the creation of their article. Not having a link gives the idea that they're non-notable, which doesn't seem to be the case. Removal of Persondata from Arthur Albiston

Hi there. It may not have been your intention, but one of your recent edits removed the Persondata from the article Arthur Albiston. Your other edits to the article were good, so I assume that either you removed the Persondata by accident or you weren't aware of what it was for. Again, please stop. Bobby Charlton, Matt Busby and Alex Ferguson have not been Knights for their entire lives, so to refer to them constantly as "Sir" is incorrect. Furthermore, your other changes to the article are against the Manual of Style. – PeeJay 22:40, 25 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Squares18! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 5 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. When it automatically lifted, you edited again without discussing your changes. I have blocked you for 31 hours to prevent further disruption. Please make sure that you attempt to gain consensus for your edits, adhering to the various manual of styles. The article Stewart Davies has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable person due to lack of significant coverage from reliable sources therefore fails general notability guidelines.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. -- BigDom 17:45, 12 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I believe it is unfair that I keep getting blocked for updating a page that needs doing so regularly, I feel the edits I make are constructive, and reasonable as well as that you should consider some of the things I keep adding to the page, which I think are neccessary, but you obviously don't feel the same way, plus I was half-way through creating some new pages for this encyclopedia website which I believe could benefit you futher, which is why I belive I should be unblocked.

Notes:

  • In some cases, you may not in fact be blocked, or your block has already expired. Please check the list of active blocks. If no block is listed, then you have been autoblocked by the automated anti-vandalism systems. Please remove this request and follow these instructions instead for quick attention by an administrator.
  • Please read our guide to appealing blocks to make sure that your unblock request will help your case. You may change your request at any time.
Administrator use only:

If you ask the blocking administrator to comment on this request, replace this template with the following, replacing "blocking administrator" with the name of the blocking admin:

If you decline the unblock request, replace this template with the following code, substituting {{subst:Decline reason here}} with a specific rationale. Leaving the decline reason unchanged will result in display of a default reason, explaining why the request was declined.
