Format drift corrections

Hi. After viewing the history at Sophie Wilson (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views), it looks as if I owe you thanks for tidying my dates. That format seems to be the default with ProveIt, but perhaps I can change it. -- Trevj (talk) 03:50, 23 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, you don't seem to realise that you are changing the format of the original, this is the way The Times prints the dates concerned! Eddaido (talk) 04:02, 23 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

WP:DATERET states If an article has evolved using predominantly one format, the whole article should conform to it, unless there are reasons for changing it based on strong national ties to the topic. However, this is the Manual of Style, rather than policy. Previously I've used YYYY-MM-DD, because it's quicker than typing the month and is universally unambiguous. Unless I'm pointed to a policy directing me otherwise, I'll continue for the moment to used ProveIt's format - although I reserve the right to change to other format(s) of my choosing in the future. If an editor (or bot) wants harmonise date formats etc. then that's fine by me. Often there may be no established consistent date style in articles, and adding refs using citation templates takes enough time as it is, without getting involved in such issues. Sorry if this comes across as being uncooperative. However... if we're talking about Good Articles or similar then I agree that it's desirable to use consistent formatting, and would expect to pay a little more attention. -- Trevj (talk) 09:16, 23 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Wheres the source?

for "cat in the walk" addition to the chemical brothers discography... 96.251.116.23 (talk) 05:18, 11 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

That was added by another IP; no apparent source so I removed it. My only recent edit on The Chemical Brothers was to undo an unrelated error edit. Dl2000 (talk) 03:23, 12 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Region-specific language and date hidden tags

Hi, I recently raised the above point at Village pump resulting from a query I had from an edit you made. I didn't message you in the first instance as it says you are often busy and I assumed it was a admin/bot type function that had probably been discussed before. Regards. Eldumpo (talk) 19:02, 14 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It may be useful for you to invoke the British English|small=yes template on the talk page of an article at the same time as invoking Use British English|date=April 2012 in the article itself. Doing so causes an informative box to appear on the talk page and also adds the talk page to a non-hidden category Category:Wikipedia articles that use British English. fixing dates with a script

In National University of Singapore, you attempted to use a script to fix the dates (changing MM-DD to DD-MM). Unfortunately, in doing so, you also broke several image links. Please be more careful if you're going to use scripts to make mass edits to an article. Esrever (klaT) 20:30, 21 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Otto Habsburg

Fast you are, young jedi, too fast in deleting adds But to be serious instead of fast delting it could be tried to find citation, I guess you would have deleted whatever it would have been even if Otto Habsburg himself had added it. Think about fairness, you have to ;) PS: "Citiation blabla" not to accept professional original research seems unprofessional that comes from a historian, me but as I do take it with humor ^^ Xandl Hofer (talk) 00:14, 2 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
