Taio Cruz Name

Please see below and also scroll up on the Taio Cruz Discussion Page:

I would agree with you, however I checked on the ASCAP website, who is listed as Taio Cruz's publishing administrator (http://www.ascap.com/ace/search.cfm?mode=search) and did a search for both "Tayo Onile-Ere" and Adetayo Ayowale Onile-Ere" to no results. A search for Taio Cruz however results in all his songs to date, both released and unreleased including "Your Game"(http://www.ascap.com/ace/search.cfm?requesttimeout=300&mode=results&searchstr=1690271&search_in=c&search_type=exact&search_det=t,s,w,p,b,v&results_pp=25&start=1) Perhaps the listing for Your Game was an admin error as it seems to ONLY EVER appear in one place. To me it still makes sense that this name arose from a Wiki Vicious Cycle spurred by what was most likely a clerical error? George of Laodicea

I don't fully comprehend why you deleted the info on this individual. True, it was a lazy edit based on Wikisource that I did in order to replace a previous lazy edit based on EB 1911, which was inaccurate. But you replaced it with a very short entry of questionable accuracy which in no way can be considered an improvement of what you deleted, lazy or not. This seems like a disservice to readers to me. Is there a wiki policy you are following here?Ocyril (talk) 20:49, 28 October 2011 (UTC)

Ok. I'm not at all convinced by any of the points that you made. I agree that everything you suggest would make the article better than it was. But i also think that it is much much worse now than before you made your edit. As it stands now it is worthless, since George of Laodicea is not 12 years old and it is a stretch to refer to him as a "philosopher" however abstruse 4th century Christological arguments may have been. It is not completely pointless to include the wikisource link and have that source copied into the encyclopedia since many (very many) users would not notice the link or appreciate its significance as it stands. If you look at the history you will see that I changed it after many many months of suggesting that the original article, copied from EB 1911 was uncontroversially inaccurate...grossly so. But anyhow i prefer your edit to that article, at least your stub is short. I think a long an accurate article, from whatever source, is certainly better than what is there now, but I'm not that experienced of an editor and will defer to your judgment and experience.Ocyril (talk) 02:00, 29 October 2011 (UTC)

Use Australian English

I just looked at the code you gave me for Australian, but realise that it won't do what I want it to do. But I added this. Can you help me rejig "case 'B':" so that it doesn't insert {{use British English}} when it sees {{use Australian English}}? --Ohconfucius ¡digame! 03:27, 29 October 2011 (UTC)

Let's get something straight, you need to check references which are not valid before you revert changes that I made tot he jessie J page. go ahead click some links, they are not valid. so the removed text had no grounds to be there in the first place. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.198.223.50 (talk) 10:10, 12 December 2011 (UTC)

I don't watchlist the articles that User:24.18.113.3 is editing on, but it looks like you do. If xe comes back from the 1 week block I issued with the same problems, you don't need to warn xyr again--just let me know on my talk page and I'll reblock for longer. massive newbie confussion

Hi there! I hope this is going to the right place? Did i just get a message that indicated a conflict of interest issue? After reading about that on the help page I'm still confused as to what that means.

The first edit i made this evening was regarding the "miranda stone" wiki page. It was updated information from Earthdress productions about Miranda Stone. Earthdress Productions is the record company which carries Miranda's material. I wanted to make sure that the reasons for the change were up in the earthdress talk page. I have been trying to see this message but can only see yours(?) Perhaps you can help me. I'm not sure how this all works and it's quite easy to get lost or discouraged. I've been interested in making changes to this wiki post for the last several years so that it can be more neutral and correct. thanks! C. Hale (Earthdress (talk) 01:29, 20 January 2012 (UTC))

(talk page stalker) Note to Dl2100: I'm just about to block this user. User's can't use the name of a company as their user name per WP:USERNAME. Hopefully the editor will chose a new name and continue editing, albeit while addressing the COI concerns. Qwyrxian (talk) 05:12, 20 January 2012 (UTC)

Please refrain from leaving false allegations on my talk page as you did earlier today. I have not added incorrect information - I have corrected the birth details with referenced 100% correct BIRTH RECORDS, not some music article from a Swedish website. Moneysuch8 (talk) 15:27, 21 January 2012 (UTC)

No, sorry - an article which casually refers to someones date of birth, which is likely taken from a previous un-referenced version of a Wikipedia article is not reliable. The claim that the findmypast references aren't readable is nonsense, as you are well aware seeing as you can read the one on this article plus the Jah Wobble reference.

Moneysuch8 (talk) 16:56, 21 January 2012 (UTC)

Also, as you are hell bent on questioning official documents, which are apparently less credible than a music website - perhaps you will use the search facility on findmypast.co.uk (which is open to EVERYONE) and find a "Howard Eliott Payne" born in 1975. That isn't possible, because he wasn't born in 1975 and deliberately misspelt his middle name to make it more interesting - but please go ahead. Moneysuch8 (talk) 17:02, 21 January 2012 (UTC)

Hi, not sure if it's on your watchlist, but I've undone your edit to Alexander Pearce, and added a further message to Susan's talk page. Graham87 06:24, 24 January 2012 (UTC)

All I did was reverting vandalism. Nothing to quote here. Thank you anyway. Cheers

Unnecessary Rudeness

Your comments on my talk page are completely nonconstructive, undiplomatic, rude, and quite frankly abusive. Do you honestly think that your approach is the best way to deal with edits that you object to? Quite frankly, it is Wikipedia editors such as yourself that drive other editors away with your abusive little Talk Page "nasty-grams". =//= Johnny Squeaky 19:40, 4 February 2012 (UTC)

  • Johnny Squeaky, you're walking on a very thin line here. You don't know a damn thing about editors being driven away after your four hundred or so edits, many of which, I saw, were reverted for all the right reasons. Drmies (talk) 21:45, 4 February 2012 (UTC)

Johnny Squeaky

Do you really think the edit by Johnny Squeaky constituted vandalism? Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 19:55, 4 February 2012 (UTC)

It was *NOT* vandalism. I see your point in taking exception to my edit, but calling it vandalism is disingenuous. And, again, civil discussion works a lot better than threats. =//= Johnny Squeaky 22:22, 4 February 2012 (UTC)
Why would you confuse "threats" with "warnings"? Drmies (talk) 22:27, 4 February 2012 (UTC)
Whether it's vandalism or not (I'm not equipped to say), on the Garbo page, your switch from "Honors, Awards, etc." to "Trivia" violates the WP rule of avoiding personal opinion (Trivia) and writing, instead, from an impartial, neutral, and objective point of view. I'm sure you're a fine person, Johnny Squeaky, but out of respect to the millions of WP readers, you would do well to learn this basic, and necessary, encyclopedic convention.--Classicfilmbuff (talk) 00:01, 5 February 2012 (UTC)--Classicfilmbuff (talk) 00:04, 5 February 2012 (UTC)

Careless removal of ordinals from reference titles

With this edit and this one you removed ordinals from the titles of references - please apply more care - reference titles are not normal article text and should not be treated in the same way as article text. Your edits gave the references incorrect titles, making it harder to verify information in the articles.Nigel Ish (talk) 15:32, 11 February 2012 (UTC)

I respectfully ask that you stop unilaterally changing the date format in Jamaica-related articles I have created to D-M-Y format, rather than the M-D-Y format in which they were written. Per WP:DATERET, article's date formats should not be changed from the standard set by the creator and/or first substantial contributor unless there is a compelling reason to do so, and given that the papers of record for the region (the Jamaica Gleaner and the Jamaica Observer) use M-D-Y format (see here and here, for example), I believe it would be difficult for you to argue that you're conforming to local standards.
