The discography of Trinidadian rapper and singer-songwriter Nicki Minaj consists of two studio albums, three mixtapes, thirty-seven singles (including twenty-two as a featured artist), seven promotional singles and thirty-six music videos. After becoming involved with music and acting in high school in New York City, she eventually picked up rapping.[1] She was discovered by rapper Lil Wayne and signed to Young Money Entertainment—a subdivision of Cash Money Records with distribution through Universal Motown Records—in 2010.[2] Having released three mixtapes since 2007, Minaj was featured on the tracks of artists such as Ludacris, Trey Songz, and Jay Sean, earning fourteen appearances on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2010.[2][3][4]

"Massive Attack", Minaj's first single as a lead artist, was dropped from her debut album due to poor chart performance.[5] Her next single "Your Love", however, reached number one on the Billboard Hot Rap Songs chart, an achievement that made Maraj the first female artist to top the chart unaccompanied since 2002.[6] "Check It Out", a joint single with singer and rapper will.i.am, has reached the top thirty in Australia, Canada, Ireland, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Her next singles "Right Thru Me", "Did It On'em" and "Moment 4 Life" have all peaked in the top five of both the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop and Rap Songs charts, with the latter topping both charts and becoming her first number-one hit on the former. Minaj's debut studio album Pink Friday was released in November 2010 and has reached the top of the Billboard 200. The album has since been certified gold in the UK and platinum in the US. "Super Bass" has reached the top ten in the US, UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

Minaj released her sophomore album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded on April 2, 2012. The lead single, "Starships", was released for digital download on February 14, 2012. "Starships" became one of Minaj's most successful singles, peaking at number one in Scotland, while peaking in the top 10 in over 9 different countries, including the United States at #9 and the United Kingdom at #2. "Right by My Side" featuring Chris Brown was released as the second single. It impacted U.S. Rhythmic and Urban radio on March 27, 2012. The album entered the UK Albums Chart at #1, thus making chart history in the United Kingdom by becoming the first female rapper to have a number-one album.
