Yu-Gi-oh

I've noticed that yu-gi-oh is only a video game francise even though it is (was) a popular trading card series, so can some one add that? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.83.117.135 (talk) 04:16, August 29, 2007 (UTC)

Toilet papger

I've seen Konami brand toilet paper before. No relation? Another thing, apparently Konami had the rights to Yu-Gi-Oh? That's a big coincidince,oh Konami also makes makes many other interesting health care stuff(psych).

Yeah i was reading and i was wondering why it only said "Yu-gi-oh franchise (video games)" under productions and nothing else. Konami licenses both the video games and cards. definatly needs to updated or something. EvilHom3r 20:35, 29 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

# of emplyees

I want to add the number of employees (4,393), but when I preview it, it doesn't show up in the infobox. Thunderbrand 15:49, Apr 26, 2005 (UTC)

They took that field out of the infobox. You can add it if you want in case they decide to add that field back in. I was going to do it yesterday, when I noticed this as well. K1Bond007 16:56, Apr 26, 2005 (UTC)

Is it a good idea that we disperse info about employees like that,I think it's plagarism

Apologies

I added a fairly substantial section on the Konami/Ultra/Palcom relationship which was misleadingly tagged as minor by mistake (my mouse slipped :-) ). Just wanted to apologize to everyone who has their watchlist set to ignore minor edits and can't figure out why the page has changed so much. – Seancdaug 05:01, Apr 27, 2005 (UTC)

It happens. :) K1Bond007 05:28, Apr 27, 2005 (UTC)

Konami Computer Entertainment Japan/Konami Computer Entertainment Tokyo to Konami Merger

The Konami Computer Entertainment Japan (KCEJ) and Konami Computer Entertainment Tokyo (KCET) articles are pretty much duplicates of the Konami article and therefore I believe that any information in the KCEJ and KCET articles that is not covered in the Konami article should be merged into the Konami article. I will wait for a week or two before performing the merger and I would like to hear your opinion on the matter. If you have any suggestions or feedback in general simply post it below. --cheese-cube 03:13, 7 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Apologies, but I went ahead and did the merger as it appears to be supported and it's been over a month :> It possibly needs a little cleaning up. Marasmusine 08:19, 13 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Konami School

I just found out that Konami has a school for teaching how to make videogames.

http://www.konamischool.jp/

Why there is no info about this?

The article is a mess as it is. It will have to be in a separate wiki, listed as a division of Konami Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd. (which is currently just KDE now, and will be converted to separate KDE pages eventually) - Jacob Poon 03:11, 7 March 2009 (UTC)

Leftovers from the merge

Following the merge from Konami Computer Entertainment Tokyo, this list of KCET properties is left over. It didn't seem appropriate to put it into the article, but perhaps a Category or List? Marasmusine 08:15, 13 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Removed silly tidbit

I've removed the following passage:

"Konami is know for US shortages of their popular game series: Castlevania and Lost in Blue"
If for some reason someone objects ot this it can be readded, but please find a source before doing so. --Thaddius 14:05, 12 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

573?

Are you sure about the 573? Isn't 7 "sichi" and 3 "san" in Japanese? Mr100percent 04:52, 2 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

7 can be pronounced by either of "shichi", "nana" or "na" in Japanese. A number in Japanese has one or more pronunciations like kanji, so an abbreviation could be easily built by numbers. This manner is widely used in daily life of Japanese people for reading telephone number, license plate or things like that. 4649 (yo-ro-shi-ku, means thank you/regards) and 5963 (go-ku-ro-san, means that's tough) are some of the most popular abbreviations in Japan. Pronouncing "na" and "mi" is old style Japanese, so they are not usual and only used for making abbreviation in today. --Uiweo 04:11, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Formality

This article isn't written very formal. Is it ok if I start to work on it?Quatreryukami 02:07, 20 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

anime doll/plushie

I have two anime doll or plushies or whatever they are called, on the tag it says (in japanese) "Tomomeki Memoriaru" (Tomomeki Memorial), I am wondering if anybody knows what this is. Also, it may say Tomonuki Memoriaru as the tag has some mold on it and I can tell whether the hiragana is 'me' or 'nu'... lol 24.129.237.34 (talk) 00:24, 15 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think the name is "Tokimeki Memorial", not "Tomomeki Memorial". "Tokimeki Memorial" is a dating sim series made by Konami.E Wing (talk) 04:02, 22 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Version 0.7 nomination

It would be nice to include this article in the release, because we are quite weak on "company" articles. However, I think the article needs strengthening before it can be included. I think the sourcing should be improved (very important for a corporate article), and the English could do with polishing as well, then I'd be happy to pass it for Version 0.7. Financial details

Why is Konami's financial detail written in Yen? This is an English article primarily used by people in the UK and North America and that sort of info should be in US Dollars not Yen. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.136.23.107 (talk) 00:28, 10 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

They're a Japanese company. Why would their finances be in dollars? Eeekster (talk) 00:36, 10 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

He summed it up rather nicely in his first statement actually. "This is an English article primarily used by people in the UK and North America and that sort of info should be in US Dollars not Yen" 72.241.6.74 (talk) 19:56, 3 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

People from every country use the english Wiki, since its the most detailed one. You cant find Articles like this in the german wiki as example. I would refer to the english wiki as the international one GBK2010 (talk) 09:32, 10 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

KOE?

The third paragraph of the article twice refers to the company as "KOE" without describing why. The context discusses Australia, so if this refers to Konami of Europe, that is unstated and unclear. Some explanation seems appropriate. If I should raise this suggestion in a different way please tell me, as I am new to the Wikipedia community. Osukwm (talk) 16:13, 7 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Additional History

Parts of Konami Gaming's history seems to be missing. Here's a link to some of the key points.

Snippet about konami code at the end of the video games section seems to be out of place?

... seems either out of place or superfluous. 173.197.176.165 (talk) 11:47, 9 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Article needs some serious work.

Konami is a pretty significant piece of video gaming history. This article has various issues, and is very poorly written. I'll try and see what I can do in my spare time, much help would be appreciated...

A lot of these sections should probably be lists, severely needs citations, is written is an inappropriate and overly positive tone for a wiki, and is poorly organized to boot. 173.197.176.165 (talk) 11:53, 9 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
