Autopatrolled

(add requestview requests)
Hello. I have over 3,000 edits and written 70 articles. May I please requests approval for autopatrolled rights? Many thanks. Arun Kumar SINGH (Talk) 12:08, 12 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I just ping HJ Mitchell who declined your previous request. Wikigyt@lk to M£ 19:56, 12 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Your previous requests was just declined 3 days ago. Armbrust The Homunculus 20:54, 12 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Wikigy & Armbrust. Apologies that I was not aware that I need to wait for sometime before I place my request again; my bad. I will wait for HJ Mitchell to revert. Should he decline it, may I request for someone to tell me when and how should I wait for before I request again (if at all I should)? Last thing I want is to increase work of others. Cheers Arun Kumar SINGH (Talk) 11:58, 13 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Gents, I submitted my request with good intention but it seems to be becoming an issue. I was just trying to help other editors; last I checked, 41 of my articles are yet to be patrolled. But if this does not amount to increase in workload then I don't understand the purpose of auto patrolled right. I was told I need to apply after I have written minimum of 50 articles and I simply did what I was told. Please let me know if I should withdraw my request and I will gladly do so. If not, then please approve. Cheers, Arun Kumar SINGH (Talk) 05:03, 14 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
No, it's not an issue. Sometimes, however, it takes more time for admins to review requests. Armbrust The Homunculus 12:27, 14 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@AKS.9955: I've done a spot check of your articles and I have no concerns about the articles themselves, but what does concern me a little bit is that a lot of the mare orphaned—ie no other articles link to them. Do you think you could fix this for a few of them and slowly make your way through the rest? And then of course just be mindful to create incoming links for future articles. It's not the end of the world, but incoming and outgoing links help the reader find the article. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 20:46, 15 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Hello HJ Mitchell, thanks for your feedback. Another senior editor had similar observations about the articles I wrote and was kind enough to point this out on my TalkPage. I replied to him here. There is no denying the fact that around 35 articles written by me have to be expanded but I am waiting for the official Delhi assembly page to update their profile. Election results were announced on 10th and Government took charge on 14th Feb. I am on the job and will do it. For what its worth, I request you to give articles written by me before 9th Feb a look; that might give a better idea about the quality. Now that I know where the problem is (and I should have been more patient with my request), I thank you all for your time in this regard with a promise to update all the articles in discussion. Regards, Arun Kumar SINGH (Talk) 05:13, 16 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, I'm User:Smileguy91. I've made 3,824 edits on Wikipedia since I joined the wiki, am active as a new pages patroller myself, and have created about 59 or 60 articles on the English Wikipedia. I'd like to become autopatrolled to help expedite the process for new pages patrollers as I create new material to fill in gaps in our coverage. Thanks! smileguy91talk 19:24, 23 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Reason for requesting autopatrolled rights Lopifalko (talk) 20:56, 23 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Hi. I have created 40 articles, mostly BLP about photographers, containing ample demonstration of notability and verifiability in their first draft to pass scrutiny. I am conversant with policy on copyright and on making claims with regard BLP. I have requested this before but was told by Wifione that "In general, I would have suggested the creation of a minimum of 50 articles. In your case, I've found the articles to be impressively referenced and judiciously maintained. If you're not in a hurry, I wouldn't mind adding this bit to your profile if you reach at least 40 articles, ... The not done is just procedural. Lopifalko, refer to this request when you request this bit again in the future." Thanks. -Lopifalko (talk)
I had created over 140 valid articles not including redirects or disambiguation pages. I love to reduce the workload of New Page Patrollers, particularly the burden of patrolling my pages. Many thanks to DragonflySixtyseven who patrolled over 50 of my articles, days after they were created. Wikigyt@lk to M£ 02:51, 25 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
* Done, see User_talk:Vejvančický#Answer_to_your_question. --Vejvančický (talk / contribs) 17:35, 25 February 2015 (UTC) --Vejvančický (talk / contribs) 08:24, 26 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@User:Wikicology, I've noticed several recently deleted articles you created: Microbial growth monitoring techniques, Sabongari fire outbreak. The first one was a copyvio, and as for the other one, you removed the AfD notification from your talk page. Could you explain, please? --Vejvančický (talk / contribs) 17:51, 25 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Vejvančický: As the issue of copyvio is many months old and was not repeated, I'd opine that the then-new editor has learned from his noob mistake and become a valued contributor. As for editing his own talk page, there is no policy requiring editors archive old pages, and a removal of a notice indicates he's seen it and responded at the linked AFD... exactly what the notice was for, and not an issue requiring the removal of autopatrol. I would advise his AutoPatrol be re-instatedSchmidt, Michael Q. 12:08, 26 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Feel free to reinstate if you think it is the right thing to do, Michael. You are an administrator as well. I'm still not sure, see the conversation at my talk page. --Vejvančický (talk / contribs) 12:17, 26 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
We can certainly keep an eye open, but I think it is best. Thanks. Schmidt, Michael Q. 12:21, 26 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
OK, I have no objections. Thank you for your opinion and help, Michael. Good luck and please be careful when creating new articles, Wikicology. --Vejvančický (talk / contribs) 12:30, 26 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
