VOTE NO

The ArbCom as currently constructed and staffed has amply demonstrated that not only is it incapable of accomplishing the sole task for which it was established (To provide resolution to disputes that the community has been unable to resolve), it has become the locus from which disruption emanates. Vote NO on every candidate to prevent an further validation of this farce.

Hello!!!!! TheRedPenOfDoom I have made some recent edits to Hera Pheri 3 added and removed some content. There was a lot of irrelevant content in the article. I tried to make some changes as they are being verified by well known bollywood celebrity news website(Pinkvilla and others). After your edit I am guessing you made something wrong and deleted some important lines and stories. Please revert it to it's earlier state. Regards, Jashafi24 (talk) 8:17, 25 September 2015 (UTC)

Aahil Raza Ibrahim

I have again opened the article Aahil Raza Ibrahim as now it has been improved and provided reliable references from newspapers User:Rishika.dhanawade — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rishika.dhanawade (talkcontribs)

Back in 2013 you deleted several external links from the Sutro Baths page...

https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Sutro_Baths&type=revision&diff=584939912&oldid=584939840

One of those links was to this pages: http://www.cliffhouseproject.com/environs/sutrobaths/sutro_baths.htm

This is a site I maintain. This page contains more Sutro Baths historical photographs than you will find anywhere, many from my own collection. There are no ads or malicious content. The national park service links to my website for historical information. What was the purpose of your deletion?

Edit Request

Hello!!! TheRedPenOfDoom, Thank you for fullfilling my request and improving the article Karanvir Bohra. I also want to make a request to you to remove all the unnecessary trivia from the page Karan Singh Grover. It has too much of unnecessary stuff in the personal life section. Even in the career section things such as the actor being mobbed in public places and being appreciated by costars and colleagues have been added which I feel is inappropriate to be added over there. I had tried removing the content some time ago. But there is some user Durr-e-shehwar who again reverts my edits. Please can you take some steps against improvement of the article.

Regards,

Poor ref on DeD

Pen, i clearly understood your point i always have, that's why i never interrupt on the edits of other editors you undid. But in my case i am confident that my content is true and authentic, and is written in a way it should be written. And your concern with the sources, i am removing as less important references as i can. I already deleted refrences that were twice used or according to you is not ok. Tell me you remove my critical reception part, where as strong sources were presented such as Dawn News and Aaaj News, in rating section i used official and authentic Broadcasters' Audience Research Board references and BizAsia an Indian online rating channel for UKs programming. Tell me are these invalid or Crap sources?.

I am not user Sammy.joseph who is new to Wikipedia, i have made series of an article and they are believed to be good and never question. In Pakistan Television Industry media sources are very few who are acclaimed but that doesn't mean they are crap. No matter how much you referred me to Wikipedia policies or rules, i know them very well. I am asking you to believe in my edits and i will try to clean as much CRAP as possible and actually i always have. Fushan007 Talk 9:244, 26 September 2015 (UTC)

Promotional tone in Draft:ZendyHealth

Hi, TRPoD, and thanks for all your great work at the Teahouse and elsewhere around Wikipedia. I'm following up on Robert McClenon's comment about Draft:ZendyHealth reading like an advertisement, and was wondering if you would be willing to look at the draft after my latest edits, since I've noticed you have a gift for cutting promotional puffery out of articles. I've rewritten some of it to address that issue, but apparently not enough. It may be that I've been looking at this draft long enough that I'm seeing the improvement over what it had been rather than what still needs to be changed, and it needs a fresh set of eyes. The draft creator hasn't had a problem with my previous removal of POV from the draft, so I'm sure your contributions would be welcome as well. Thanks in advance for whatever assistance you can offer. —GrammarFascist contribstalk 20:45, 13 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I: will say that both User:GrammarFascist and I are very good at recognizing promotional tone. TPROD is actually good at cutting it out. Some editors can recognize advertising, but fewer editors can get rid of it while leaving an article standing. Of course, often, there is no article when the advertising is thrown in the sink. Robert McClenon (talk) 07:47, 14 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for that, Robert McClenon. I chose TRPoD specifically because they are a harsh critic of anything that can be construed as promotional. I doubt very much that a draft would fail AfC review on tone grounds after TRPoD had been at it — though it's true that, as you say, in some cases there's nothing much left of an article after the promotion is taken out. If you think I've removed such language adequately from the draft in its current form, however, that would be good enough for me. —GrammarFascist contribstalk 11:34, 17 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hip Hip Hurray (TV Series) Comment

Hello Red. I notice you have mentioned a weird comment while moving the talk page of the series [1]. I understand you moving it, but why would you showcase it as "Obscure TV Show". You might not have liked it, but I am a huge fan of it, and used to come from School quickly in order to watch it on Zee TV. Request you to make sure that comments are not made on some obscure judgements. Vishal Bakhai - Works 12:48, 17 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I had looked

at that edit at Toll Brothers and after checking the reference included decided that the information was okay to include in the lede. Especially check out the "Legal Issuses" (or something like that) in the reference. It is impressive. I would just as soon return it, but because you are an editor I respect, thought that I'd discuss it with you. Einar aka Carptrash (talk) 19:42, 17 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Interpretation needed

What exactly are they talking about in the paragraph that begins ""while they are questionable"[1] -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 01:33, 18 November 2015 (UTC)

You posted the above message on the MSCI talk page. I don't understand the question: are you referring to a paragraph in the content that I submitted, or is it a paragraph in the book that your footnote refers to?

Ping fixes

Noting your recent edit, to do these completely seamlessly: edit the post, fix the ping or your signature or whatever you've goofed, then add a new section header just below the thread exactly the same as the current one; ping the person and sign; click save; click edit again and nuke the new section. This way, the "pingee" gets a ping to the existing section, exactly as if you did it right the first time – since the thread you added and erased was in a section headlined the same as the existing one. To wit, this + this.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 21:34, 21 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Deleting edits

Good night!

I'm adding reliable sources and citations to the article I'm writing, as everyone can see on the footnotes and reference boxes. "Article already practically void of the required sourcing", I don't understand what you mean by that. The new entries were copied from other wikipedia articles about the same category and I did refered to them on my "edit summary". Like I said, I'm new here but I'm learning fast. I will edit all over again, I don't think there was nothing wrong to what it was written. PedroLopFonMarAlves (talk) 03:13, 22 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Diyar-e-Dil

May be because this time you are poking yourself away a lot, but problem is that you also failed to understand our point. Our media outlets, generally online printed media includes Review it, Brandsynaro and Galaxy Lollywood. They are not poor references, we are not in Hollywood where printed media such as Hollywood reporter, variety, Guardian, New York Times, TV Guide, LA Times or all other acclaim mediums who released entertainment news on major level, our media industry mainly confined to TV medium and to us they are proper sources, howevernewspaper such as Aaaj News, Dawn News, Express Tribune release news regarding showbiz of television or their details and production but very often, so in that case we have to use references like that. But they are not poor. But of course it is useless to talk to you that's why i never talk to you on this issue. Nauriya (talk) 21:53, 23 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. Ruth Dillon (horse)

Hi, just now saw your comment on Wikipedia talk about notability in sports. The horse probably meets notability and I'd be willing to create or help work on the article. I'm technically a member of the horseracing project, but I haven't done much work there because most of the major Thoroughbred articles are starts or GA. This would be a good way to get more involved there. White Arabian Filly (Neigh) 00:47, 27 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @White Arabian Filly:! I started at Draft:Ruth Dillon but i am tired and from the multiple tabs I have open must have gotten the wrong URL at least once because i have the same book down three times!
As another horse article, her father Sidney Dillon (horse) looks like he was a major stud of the time ( one of the world's greatest sires and a big write up here ) and might be a project for you.
Feel free to have at either one! -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 03:40, 27 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

whigfield page reply

The point of what I was saying both on the whigfield page and the Ann Lee talk page is exactly that, we need to go by what is provable and not by voice sound. Did you miss what I said on both pages or are you just ignoring it just because I'm Mancunian? If you read it, then you'd see that I aggree with everyone who says that we can't include the speculation of Annerley Gordon benig Whigfield untill we have proof that she is other than "she sounds like her so therefore that's who sings her songs." Infact, I don't even think that there should be any mention of the theory of Annerley being Whigfield's real singer anywhere in the article untill it gets covered in a well-known and reliable publication. Don't you see? I'm on your side? I know I'm Mancunian and all, but I at least aggree with you here.
