Quick question
Hi, thanks for the "thanks", and you're welcome. Quick question: did you (a) intentionally thank me 3 times for the same edit, (b) accidentally thank me 3 times for the same edit, but knew you'd done it, or (c) only thank me once, and MediaWiki is acting up yet again and notified me 3 times? (It's certainly no big deal, and I'm not complaining!) I ask because someone I'm not really on good terms with thanked me 4 times for an edit a week or two ago, and although it would have made sense for them to thank me once, as a kind of olive branch, I kind of assumed they were being a jerk because of the number. Now that you thanked me 3 times, I'm wondering if the poor guy wasn't trying to annoy me, but was made to look bad by the software. Makes me feel kind of bad, and very glad I dropped it and didn't go complain about them somewhere... --Floquenbeam (talk) 21:02, 4 December 2015 (UTC)
- I think (b), or maybe (c). It didn't immediately go through, so I might've clicked it more than once. It could be a software problem, hopefully that editor wasn't being a jerk. – Muboshgu (talk) 21:16, 4 December 2015 (UTC)
- Ok, thanks. Embarrassingly, I misremembered what happened; the editor I had in mind only thanked me once and I couldn't figure out his intentions, and another editor thanked me 4 times for something, and I never bothered to ask them why. Got them conflated in my aging brain. So I'm pretty sure it was a software glitch for both of you. Anyway, thanks, and cheers. --Floquenbeam (talk) 21:32, 4 December 2015 (UTC)

John lackey
I was the first to edit John Lackeys page why did you make a change to take credit for it. That is jacked up. Rojocube (talk) 21:07, 8 December 2015 (UTC)
- I don't know how many times to tell you this: there is no such thing as "credit" here. You made a bad set of edits without a source. Yes, you put it in the edit summary, but it belongs on the page. – Muboshgu (talk) 21:12, 8 December 2015 (UTC)
I did have a source.http://vineline.mlblogs.com/2015/12/08/cubs-and-rhp-john-lackey-agree-on-two-year-deal/ you clearly ignored it to boost your ego to steal my thunder and take credit once it became official b — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rojocube (talk • contribs) 21:26, 8 December 2015 (UTC)
- "Credit" from whom? There is no such thing and believe I don't do anything here to "boost my ego". You need to put the source with text ON THE PAGE and you didn't do that. You also made some funky edit to the banner template that I was undoing. – Muboshgu (talk) 21:35, 8 December 2015 (UTC)
Shelby Miller
I saw on B/R that he got traded, so I added it. It is NOT VANDALISM BECAUSE I DON'T KNOW HOW TO PROVIDE EVIDENCE. Let me be free. Go on ESPN and look. I dare you. Do it. It is all over the place. (Sorry, I forget, on B/R it did not say anything. Can you put this in a response because I don't how to really respond back.) Tybomb124 (talk) 01:36, 9 December 2015 (UTC)
- I've looked. They say it's pending medicals. Remember how certain everyone was that Wilmer Flores was traded back in July? That's why we have to wait for final confirmation. – Muboshgu (talk) 02:07, 9 December 2015 (UTC)
- @Tybomb124: You can refer to Help:Introduction to referencing with Wiki Markup/1 for a crash course on adding citations. Worst case, just add the URL to the edit summary.—Bagumba (talk) 03:48, 9 December 2015 (UTC)

I you could restore my edits that would be greatly appreciated. Sneakycrown (talk) 03:43, 9 December 2015 (UTC)
- Better source: "The player to be named will reportedly be infielder Brendan Ryan." That's not 100% confirmation. If it's a player to be named later, then he will be named later. – Muboshgu (talk) 03:44, 9 December 2015 (UTC)
My apologies. shall clear up any further edits with you first.
Oh, and plus, yahoo sports: http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/mlb-big-league-stew/report--yankees-acquire-starlin-castro-from-cubs-010607312.html Sneakycrown (talk) 03:56, 9 December 2015 (UTC)
- Yeah it's best to be clear because sometimes the sources contradict each other. – Muboshgu (talk) 04:33, 9 December 2015 (UTC)
- I made the same mistake at the 2016 Chicago Cubs season and used a ref. mentioning B. Ryan. I then went to the Roster and clicked "transactions" which took me to the MLB.com site which, I assume, is as official as it gets. PTBNL was used there... so I changed the info Buster Seven Talk 04:55, 9 December 2015 (UTC)

Joakim Soria, December 2015
Hello, I'm Iknowthegoods. You recently undid an edit I made to the page Joakim Soria, claiming that I had added premature information about a reported sports transaction. I beg to differ. The transaction is NOT based on anonymous sources and HAS been officially announced. I have since gone ahead and re-update the article, and have included a cite a reliable source. If you still believe I have made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. – Iknowthegoods (talk) 23:48, 9 December 2015 (UTC)
Ken Giles
The trade was officially announced 1 hour before I changed the Wikipedia page. It was confirmed by both the Astros and Phillies. Jordandlee (talk) 11:31, 10 December 2015 (UTC)
- Great, thanks for waiting for the confirmation that it indeed happened. – Muboshgu (talk) 16:30, 10 December 2015 (UTC)
Christian Bethancourt
Why remove my revision when before I even entered the page it had labeled him a San Diego Padre. All I did was add his updated info, nothing more. You should check better at who puts players with their new team without even putting; 1)a source 2) for who they were traded for and the date and 3) why put just the name of their new team on their profile box but not update anything else? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 1remains (talk • contribs) 22:12, December 10, 2015
- I removed it because you didn't source it. You should include a source if you don't want to see your edits reverted. Remember the other day when everyone was sure Aroldis Chapman was traded? He wasn't. I will revert any unsourced addition of that sort without question and won't apologize for it. – Muboshgu (talk) 03:16, 11 December 2015 (UTC)

8 years 185 million. Its just been announced. For the terms. So it's official JHey is a cubs. I would take the credit for it but once I change it you'll change it back so you're the last edit. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rojocube (talk • contribs) 19:43, 11 December 2015 (UTC)
- Reporters are reporting it, but reporters are often enough wrong. It's not mentioned at Cubs twitter or any other official place, so it's not official. And again with this "credit" thing, I have no idea what "credit" you think any of us get for this. If you change it back, I will revert you, unless it's confirmed as official. – Muboshgu (talk) 19:53, 11 December 2015 (UTC)
- Announced is not the same as official. We are not newspaper reporters that want to be the "first with the story". When it shows up here its more than likely "Official". So far, I don't see it...but it is good news. Buster Seven Talk 20:03, 11 December 2015 (UTC)
- Or if it shows up here. Honestly, all of this rush to edit reminds me of one of my favorite articles by The Onion: "Area Man Honored To Be One Who Added Death Date To Heath Ledger's Wikipedia Page". – Muboshgu (talk) 20:06, 11 December 2015 (UTC)

First of all, that last sentence was disrespectful, don't act like a prick just because you revert things just because you see fit in doing so. Second, if you had seen the player page before I edited it, someone had put that he was a Padre WITHOUT EVEN PUTTING A SOURCE! YET, MY EDITS WERE REVERTED... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 1remains (talk • contribs) 15:22, December 11, 2015
- How was that disrespectful? I simply pointed out that I'll revert any edit that doesn't meet WP:V. Now, you calling me a "prick", that's pretty disrespectful. I can't speak for whatever edits you're talking about before yours, but I strive to revert them all. And please, end all of your talk page comments with your signature. Four tildes. – Muboshgu (talk) 20:29, 11 December 2015 (UTC)
Please cut out the "conservative" characterization
First of all, its none of your business and second of all, I'm a card carrying member of the Liberal Party of Canada. So, if you feel compelled to use ad hominem characterizations, at least be correct, please. I'm not really mad, actually it always seems odd and interesting to me to see how some people are so quick to assume things about other people and throw a label on them and how more often than not the labels don't fit, e.g. with McCarthyism. If you wish to enjoy some personal growth, I'd suggest trying to go a day without assuming anything about anybody; and then a week; and then a month...get the idea? I'm just trying to be of use to you and your editing accomplishments with this suggestion. Nocturnalnow (talk) 05:02, 12 December 2015 (UTC)
- You're right that I shouldn't use labels. I apologize. I wanted to say "you with the anti-Clinton agenda", since you clearly have one, but that was a bit cumbersome to type. There's no assumption in that, your behavior does speak for itself. – Muboshgu (talk) 19:37, 12 December 2015 (UTC)
- I do not have an anti-Clinton agenda. I just think there is a tendency among editors to give high level U.S. politicians a non NPOV positive slant on their BLPs. Its obvious I think. Just look at the difference between Nixon's lede and Putin's. Putin's BLP is much more NPOV I think, whereas Nixon, both Bushes and both Clintons' ledes are over-weighted on the positive and puffy. If I am correct, its likely a natural result from a majority of editors who look up to the office of President of the United States and the people who occupy it; I don't have that predisposition.
