sources

A google search of machon mamre [1] for simoen haZadik is a good resource for sources. Jon513 13:48, 3 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

POV

This thing reads like it's coming from a Rabbi, it needs to stop being from the perspective of a Jew and instead be from the perspective of an encyclopedia. 65.94.97.111 02:11, 3 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It's actualy from the Jewish Encyclopedia. Can you be more specific about what you dont like in the article? --Shlomke 04:10, 3 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The article clearly states the orignal poster of this article was lazy and took the public domain Jewish Encylopedia entry. I'll see if I can find a better template other than the POV one. ems (not to be confused with the nonexistant pre-dating account by the same name) 16:11, 3 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

hebrew article

A hebrew version of this article was recently created, it it very long and well source. It would be worthwhile to copy as much as possible from it, as this article suffers horible for "Jewish Encyclopedia syndrome". Jon513 14:05, 17 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, but if you can read Hebrew, how come you didn't notuce that you have a picture of the wrong burial cave? [[Daniel Tzvi]] 19:17, 17 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Pronunciation of the Name

The article asserts: After Simeon's death men ceased to utter the Tetragrammaton aloud (Yoma 30b; Tosef. Soṭah, xiii).
I reviewed Yoma 30a and 30b carefully and found no such statement. Therefore I removed the page reference, but it would still be great if someone could find the actual correct page. MosheEmes (talk) 13:36, 12 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Dates

How could he meet Alexander in 323bc if he wasn't born until 310? Disacorns (talk) 07:41, 26 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
