Park Ji-min (Hangul: 박지민; born on October 13, 1995),[1] better known as Jimin, is a South Korean singer, songwriter and dancer. He is a member of the South Korean boy group BTS.

Jimin was born on October 13, 1995 (age 22) in Busan,South Korea. He has a younger brother named Park Ji-hyun. He attended Heodang Elementary School and Yoonsan Middle School. He became interested in performance after watching singer Rain perform in eighth grade. He subsequently moved to Busan Arts High School and was one of the top students in the modern dance department. He decided to audition with Big Hit Entertainment after his dance teacher suggested he audition for an entertainment company After being accepted, he transferred to Korean Arts High School in Seoul, graduating alongside group-mate V in 2013.[2]

Jimin made his debut on June 13, 2013, as a member of BTS on Mnet's M Countdown with the track "No More Dream" from their debut single album 2 Cool 4 Skool. He was first credited for music composition in The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Part 1 when he co-wrote the song "Boyz with Fun".He then did the same for a solo single called "Lie" from the album Wings, which became the most popular single from the album. Jimin has also released, unofficially, a cover of "Mistletoe" (under the title Christmas Day) and "We Don't Talk Anymore" with fellow BTS bandmate, Jungkook.
