Future events

Come to the monthly Saturday WikiSalon at the Science History Institute to find out more and improve Wikipedia. Remember to bring your computer! If you are interested in editing, it will help if you create a Wikipedia account beforehand.

You can also learn more by going to Wiki Education or by watching these Wikipedia Training videos from the non-profit #ArtAndFeminism. #ArtAndFeminism also has an online List of tasks to work on.

Part A is an introductory session to overview Wikipedia culture, create accounts, and get users accustomed to navigating Wikipedia as an editor. Part B will overview how to make edits to pages, insert media, and how to utilize talk pages so attendees can engage with the Wiki-community at large. Attend one or both. 8 March 2016 Glam Café Speaker: Andreas Weber; Title: Natural Historical Archives as Digital Challenge; Abstract: In this short presentation I will tell a bit more about the origins, aims and challenges of a recently awarded collaborative research project which uses digital means to disclose the archive of the Committee for Natural History of the Netherlands Indies (Natuurkundige Commissie, 1820-1850).
