Then Galatasaray won the UEFA Cup and UEFA Super Cup in 2000.[2] Göztepe reached the semi-finals of the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup in the 1968–69 season, thus being the first Turkish team to have played in a semi-final in European competitions.[3]

Kayserispor won the UEFA Intertoto Cup in 2006.[2]
