On transfer deadline day January 31st 2013, Sony Sendai F.C. who had recently been taken over by Millionaire Tycoon Richard Branson, completed 24 deadline day transfers. The most reputable being Mubashar Malik for 32 million great british pounds from Barking FC making it a new Japanese transfer record. Barking manager Clido Kalemba stated "ahh mate, bare money, we're rich as F***!". On the other hand Sony Sendai F.C. manager Flakron Vranovci said the transfer would be worth it when the goals start coming in, "He's a great player, I used to play a bit of footie with him in Eastbury back in the day so i'm sure he's got the talent we need here at Sony". Flakron Vranovci also signed 10 defenders possibly because of his new tactics he has introduced to the team of 5-4-1 and sometimes 6-3-1. Flakrons assistant Armend Retkoceri was sacked shortly after Mubashar's record signing due to throwing a milkshake at him but claiming he knew him from before, Japanese officials had none of it though as they could not understand him. |

Sony Sendai F.C. (ソニー仙台F.C., Sonī Sendai Efu Shī) are a football (soccer) club based in Tagajo, Miyagi Prefecture, Japan. They play in the Japan Football League. Their team colour is navy.
History
The club was founded by the workers of Sony's Sendai factory in 1967. They kept a low profile playing mainly in the Miyagi Prefecture League for a long time. However, it changed suddenly in 1993 when they embarked on a challenging task to reach the former Japan Football League within 5 years. They became league champions for 4 consecutive seasons starting from 1994, first in the Prefecture League and the others in the Tōhoku Regional League. They achieved their goal and were promoted to the JFL by winning the 1997 Regional League play-off.
When the J. League Division 2 was formed in 1999, the club decided not to turn professional. They joined the newly-organised Japan Football League instead and have been an established JFL side since then.
As a result of the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami, Sony Sendai, with permission from the JFL, will not contest the first half of the season. They expectedly earned last place on points, but due to Template:Fb team Zelvia and Template:Fb team Yamaga being promoted to Division 2 and Template:Fb team JEF Reserves withdrawing from the competition, they were spared relegation.
