New Year
3rd Apollo 13 nomination
I believe we have addressed the problems with the article and i have renominated it. If you are the one who reviews it this time, i ask, if the film still has a few bugs, that you put it on hold, rather than quick fail. Thanks. RAP (talk) 23:00 17 December 2011 (UTC)

Do you want to put File:Goya Maja ubrana2.jpg and File:Goya Maja naga2.jpg side by side at the bottom? Would that work? Or would you rather have File:Petrus Christus - Portrait of a Young Woman - Google Art Project.jpg? Also, I'd like to get File:Wacht am Rhein map (Opaque).svg in for variety, but then will the page seem too warlike? MathewTownsend (talk) 20:44, 16 March 2012 (UTC)
- Considering the orientation of the images, above each other would be better. I think including the map would be nice. We'll see about the portrait of the young girl; depends what other images we have (personally I like the movie poster) Crisco 1492 (talk) 22:54, 16 March 2012 (UTC)
- yeah, I do too. I was worried about nationalities, topics etc. to get variety, but in the end I go with the pics I like the best. I had an image from the Rhodesian list, but then I put the submarine in - not really fond of it though. The pic from the Rhodesian list was terminally small. I figure two from "Lists", one from "Featured articles" and the rest "Featured pictures". (Unless they suddenly promote some Featured articles.) Don't know what image has the "wow" factor to go at the top. MathewTownsend (talk) 23:07, 16 March 2012 (UTC)
- Sounds reasonable. Ah, I have a busy day today. Going to Surakarta for a Wiki workshop. Crisco 1492 (talk) 23:10, 16 March 2012 (UTC)
- Really! What happens in one of those workshops? Have you been to one before? MathewTownsend (talk) 23:24, 16 March 2012 (UTC)
- We'll just be doing writing training for members of the general public, nothing big. The one in Australia in January was more for Wiki-nerds Crisco 1492 (talk) 23:29, 16 March 2012 (UTC)
The Maja pictures aren't centered and I don't know how to use that template to fix it. MathewTownsend (talk) 16:32, 17 March 2012 (UTC)
- I'll try looking into it. Crisco 1492 (talk) 16:36, 17 March 2012 (UTC)

Hello Crisco, Thanks for your comment, I'm not sure if it is good enough for FP, especially I don't like the blurred part on the left but feel free to nominate it if you like. ■ MMXX talk 16:21, 17 March 2012 (UTC)
- Alright, I'll try tomorrow or Monday. Crisco 1492 (talk) 16:24, 17 March 2012 (UTC)

FP and Rotten Tomatoes
- I'm 100% against adding extraneous promotional material to FPs to hype the images with info having nothing to do with the images. (It's on the level of dyk info and lowers the quality of the section.) We should discuss this with the managing editor, Skmo (whatever his name is). This is using FP to hype other stuff. Any info added should relate specifically to the image, IMO. MathewTownsend (talk) 13:33, 21 March 2012 (UTC)
- As I said to you in my answer on my talk page, I don't consider the write ups to FAs and FLs "finished". I just stuck them in to get them started, as I've been busy. I'm glad to see you adding to them. But please consider my objections to adding promotion of unvetted articles to "Featured content". MathewTownsend (talk) 14:51, 21 March 2012 (UTC)

apology
Look, I'm sorry for the waffling. I just can't stand unsourced material being added in a dyk style. If you can get Tony or Sko to say it's ok, then I'll back off.
I'd really encourage you to buff up the FP process so that, in anticipation of being in Featured content, and image will already have the pertinent info. MathewTownsend (talk) 00:03, 25 March 2012 (UTC)
