Congratulations

I don’t know whether you are aware of this fact or not, but with this sentence: “Also, places like Lviv/Lwow, Tarnopil/Tarnopol etc are not in Malopolska” you have shown you qualified stupidity. I also see that “discussions” of morons veil the truth about the genocide of the Polish Nation. Congratulations. Now you can cry and run to report my “abuse”. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.200.212.143 (talk) 14:14, 18 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Cincinnati 2001 Riots

You've piratically deleted the entire article! I realize that citations are needed, but there is a mayoral election coming up and one of the candidates was directly involved, at least keep the article with the citation needed so people can get a general overview then do further research as needed! neilworms (need to reset my old password). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.165.178.61 (talk) 22:19, 7 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This is (supposed to be) an encyclopedia. So whether or not there is an election is irrelevant. What I removed were BLP violations. Volunteer Marek  22:42, 7 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Jan Marcin Szancer, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Polish (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Easterlin

Hi Marek, re: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Easterlin_paradox

Intro paras don't need all statements to be referenced. But this one's easy to add a cite for. The "policy implications" are also not referenced. So, I suggest either the counterpoised implications are both left, as it was, both get citations, or both are deleted from the intro para. I think as the implications are mostly why people claim this paradox exists, they should be noted, and am happy to have a citation added to each. thoughts? Tim bates (talk) 22:34, 18 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

In an article this short, where the intro constitutes about half the length, the sentences in the lede should be referenced. I also don't think that that particular statement can really be suitable referenced. It's not the usual implication of the result that is drawn. Volunteer Marek  13:57, 19 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Fails notability...prod? Thoughts? --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 05:17, 24 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm. A mathematician might be a better person to ask. Pro notability: 1) he's definitely got published works[1] 2) he was at least department chair at University of Poznan. Con notability: hard to find info, and for what it's worth does not appear here (though that is not a RS by any stretch). He's got an article on Polish wiki and he seems to meet the notability criteria for that project. I wouldn't prod it, maybe AfD it. Volunteer Marek  07:23, 24 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Pomerania

Dear Volunteer Marek, would you please explain why the previous version was more balanced? Thank youLusatianMan90 (talk) 16:26, 25 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I think the previous version had a more even mix of images as well as naming. Volunteer Marek  16:27, 25 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I don't understand why. The Pomeranian Griffin is not very interesting, the Darss picture is the same, the picture of Stralsund is more beautiful than that of Szczecin, and the picture of St Mary's Church in Gdańsk is more beautiful than the other picture of Gdańsk. Furthermore, the Kashubian designation of Gdańsk, Gduńsk, couldn't be seen. And you also deleted the pictures of Cape Rozewie and Cape Arkona and one picture of Usedom/Uznam. It would be nice if you could explain more precisely why the version now is more balanced. Thank youLusatianMan90 (talk) 16:52, 25 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The Pomeranian Griffin is an emblem of the region. But ok. As for the rest, I do think a picture of Szczecin belongs in there and I like the photo of the Gdansk Zuaw better. Volunteer Marek  21:54, 1 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

AfD closure review

Hello! In light of the improper venue outcome of the DR/N discussion in which you participated, I am notifying you that I have asked Black Kite, the administrator that closed the AfD discussion for "Highest-valued currency unit", to review the result. The result of the discussion was "merge to List of circulating currencies" and I have asked Black Kite to reconsider the result because it appears that there was no consensus for the merge at the time of the discussion and because there is no consensus for the merge at this time. I invite you to give your opinion on the matter at the discussion taking place on Black Kite's talk page. I understand that this process has led to much contention between various editors. In the interest of expediency, I would like to suggest that you limit your comments to the issue of the AfD closure and not discuss any other issues. Thank you. – Zntrip 20:29, 26 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
