2030 (MMXXX) will be a common year starting on Tuesday of the Gregorian calendar.
Predicted and scheduled events
- FIFA's World Cup will have its 24th edition, 100 years after the first one. Uruguay is often mentioned as a possible host for this edition, because it hosted the inaugural edition in 1930 and there is even a project called Uruguay 2030 but, so far, no countries have yet officially offered to host the tournament.
- The Games of the XXVI Winter Olympics will be held.
- The European Space Agency hopes to land humans on Mars between 2030 and 2035.
- November 5: United States congressional elections.
- The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency will construct a manned lunar base.[1]
