The 2 ft 6 in (762 mm) rail gauge is similar to 760 mm (2 ft 5+1516 in) Bosnian gauge and 750 mm (2 ft 5+12 in) gauge. This gauge was promoted by Thomas Hall and Everard Calthrop to reduce costs.
