Bridgetown is a census-designated place (CDP) in Green Township, Hamilton County, Ohio, United States. The population was 14,407 at the 2010 census.[3] In earlier censuses it was listed as the Bridgetown North CDP.

History

Bridgetown was settled circa 1820, and named after Bridgeton, New Jersey, the native home of a share of the first settlers.[4]

Geography

Bridgetown is located at 39°9′29″N 84°38′8″W / 39.15806°N 84.63556°W / 39.15806; -84.63556,[5] just west of the city of Cheviot and 9 miles (14 km) northwest of downtown Cincinnati. Ohio State Route 264, Bridgetown Road, runs through the center of the community.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 4.3 square miles (11.2 km2), all land.[3]

Education

The community is within Oak Hills Local School District. Oakdale Elementary School, Bridgetown Middle School and Oak Hills High School are within Bridgetown. Catholic Middle Schools include St. Jude and St. Aloysius Gonzaga.[6][7]
