Lynbrook railway station is located on the Cranbourne line in Victoria, Australia, serving the south-eastern Melbourne suburb of the same name, and opened on 22 April 2012.[4][5]

History

Announced as part of the Victorian Transport Plan in 2008,[6][7] the project was re-announced in the 2010-11 state budget.[8]

On 9 October 2010, construction of the station officially commenced, when the then Minister for Public Transport, Martin Pakula, turned the first sod.[9] Completion was expected in 2011 but, due to the under-budgeting of the electricity connection to the station, the project stalled.[10][11]

Platforms and services

Lynbrook has two side platforms. It is served by Cranbourne line trains.[12]

  •  890 : to Dandenong station[13]
  •  891 : to Westfield Fountain Gate[14]
  •  897 : to Clyde[15]
