Ajith Mannapperuma is a Sri Lankan politician and a member of the Parliament of Sri Lanka. He was first elected from Gampaha District in 2013 after the unexpected demise of Jayalath Jayawardena. Mannapperuma was returned to parliament in 2015 from the Gampaha District.[1][2]

He is a Member of the United National Party and has previously served as the mayor of Gampaha before being elected to the Western Provincial Council in 2009.

Mannapperuma is a Civil Engineer by profession and is an alumnus of the Faculty of Engineering at the prestigious University of Moratuwa. In 2014 Mannapperuma lost a limb following an accident on the Southern Expressway.
