Racial nationalism is an ideology that advocates a racial definition of national identity. Racial nationalism seeks to preserve a given race through policies such as banning race mixing and the immigration of other races. Racial nationalism, unlike the related ethnic nationalism does not view culture as something significant in determining national identity.

In German-speaking countries, a combination of ethnic nationalism and racial nationalism is known as völkisch nationalism.
