Iker Casillas has made the most appearances in the competition.
On 22 February 2006, Raúl made his 100th Champions League appearance, the first player to do so.

Since the UEFA Champions League's formation at the start of the 1992–93 season, a total of 39 players have managed to make at least 100 appearances in the competition.[1] The first player to hit the landmark was Raúl, who did so in February 2006[2] while the most recent member of the "100 club" is Toni Kroos, who played his 100th match in October 2019.[3] The player with the most appearances is Iker Casillas, who has played 177 times in the Champions League.[4]

Five players scored in their 100th appearance: Thierry Henry (Barcelona vs. Sporting CP) on 26 November 2008, Zlatan Ibrahimović (Paris Saint-Germain vs. Olympiacos) on 27 November 2013, Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid vs. Borussia Dortmund) on 2 April 2014, Andrea Pirlo (Juventus vs. Olympiacos) on 4 November 2014, and Toni Kroos (Real Madrid vs. Galatasaray) on 22 October 2019.[5] Of the players who have made 100 or more appearances in the competition proper, only three have never won the Champions League (Gianluigi Buffon, Zlatan Ibrahimović and Cesc Fabregas), with Buffon (and former Juventus teammates Paolo Montero and Alessio Tacchinardi) having made three appearances in the final without winning.[6]
