Chaumes-en-Brie (French: [ʃom.ɑ̃.bʁi] ) is a commune in the Seine-et-Marne department in the Île-de-France region in north-central France. It is best known as the ancient home of the Couperin family of composers and musicians.

Demographics

The inhabitants are called Calmétiens.
