Shemiranat County (Persian: شهرستان شمیرانات) is a county in Tehran Province in Iran. The capital of the county is Shemiran, which is part of the city of Tehran. At the 2006 census, the county's population was 37,778, in 11,178 families.[1] For census purposes, the former cities of Shemiran and Tajrish, sometimes allocated to the county, are counted in the city of Tehran, into which they have been absorbed, not in Shemiranat County. The county is subdivided into two districts: Rudbar-e Qasran District and Lavasanat District. The county has four cities: Tajrish, Fasham, Shemshak and Lavasan.
