Musnad Abu Awaanah (Arabic: مسند ابي عوانه‎), is one of the oldest Hadith books written and compiled. It was compiled by Imam Abu Awaanah al-Isfara’ini (316 AH).[1]

Description[edit]

It is one of the oldest Musnad (a kind of Hadith book) written. It is written in fourth century of Islamic calendar. The Musnad (مسند) are collections of Hadiths which are classified by narrators, and therefore by Sahabas (companions of the Prophet Muhammad). It was compiled by Imam Abu Awaanah al-Isfara’ini in the late third century and early fourth century of the Islamic Calender.[2]
