Bara Bankuya is a village, in Ramnagar II CD Block in Contai subdivision of Purba Medinipur district in the state of West Bengal, India.

Demographics

As per 2011 Census of India Bara Bankuya had a total population of 6,169 of which 3,077 (50%) were males and 3,092 (50%) were females. Population below 6 years was 676. The total number of literates in Bara Bankuya was 4,919 (89.55% of the population over 6 years).[2]

Transport

SH 4 connecting Jhalda (in Purulia district) and Digha (in Purba Medinipur district) passes through Bara Bankuya.[3]
