The Central Regional School District is a regional public school district in Ocean County, New Jersey, United States, which serves students in seventh through twelfth grades from the municipalities of Berkeley Township, Island Heights, Ocean Gate, Seaside Heights and Seaside Park.[3]

As of the 2013-14 school year, the district's two schools had an enrollment of 1,941 students and 144.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 13.5:1.[1]

The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "B", the second-lowest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. From lowest socioeconomic status to highest, the categories are A, B, CD, DE, FG, GH, I and J.[4]

The district's Board of Education consists of nine members. Five members are from Berkeley Township, with one each from Island Heights, Ocean Gate, Seaside Heights and Seaside Park.[5]
