Delhi Private School, Dubai (in Arabic: مدرسة دلهي الخاصة ، دبي) is a private co-educational day school located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is run by the Delhi Public School Society.[1] The school was founded in 2003.

Education system
The school follows the Central Board of Secondary Education system and has continuous tests and assignments. There are Formative Assessments and Summative Assessments as a part of CBSE(I) syllabus. During the Knowledge and Human Development Authority inspection in the year 2010, the school got a 'Good' rating and was rated as one of the best Indian Schools in UAE.[3]
Scholar Badge
The school, at the end of each academic year, gives a Scholar Badge to students of Grade V and above, for achieving an overall grade of A2 and a grade point average of 8.6 any upgrades.
Special awards
Some special awards are given for high achievers.
- All-Rounder: Given for an outstanding performance in both academics and extra-curricular activities.
- Academic Excellence Award:Given away to the highest aggregate percentage in all sections of that grade in a certain academic year.
- Special Proficiency: Given to students who have excelled in any extra-curricular activities.
- Subject Proficiency: Awarded to students who secured the highest marks in a certain subject in all sections of that grade in a certain academic year.
Students who achieve the Scholar Badge for three or more years are awarded Blue Blazer, Blue Badge, Blue Tie or Gold Medal.
Enrichment Programme
Students who get 80% or above in core subjects are eligible to appear for an advanced proficiency test.
Campus
This campus is located outside the main city, in The Gardens (Jebel Ali). The school buildings today comprise three computer labs, a physics lab, a biology lab, a chemistry lab, a maths lab, language labs, three libraries, two auditoriums,a basketball court, a cricket ground, a multi-sports complex, an oval field for many sports, 2 cafeterias and two clinics, one for boys and one for girls. They have recently added a tennis court managed by LOS ATLETAS tennis coaches. The clinics are operated by two nurses and a doctor. Parents are informed immediately about their child's injury/sickness. The school is divided into 5 blocks:-
- Senior block (Students of grade 9 to 12)
- Primary block (Grades KG 1 to Grade 4)
- Milestone block (Grade 5 - 8)
- Administrative Block (Reception, Bookstore, Clinic, Sundeep hall, Conference hall, HUGS 1 and 2 rooms)
- Sports Complex block (Swimming pool, multi purpose hall, table tennis court, volleyball courts, etc.)
Extra-curricular activities
Excursions and Field Trips
The school organizes many field trips for students, to nearby places of interest in Dubai and Sharjah, like Safa Park, The Dubai Mall, Ferrari World, Dubai Dolphinarium, Sega Republic etc. It also organizes excursions to different countries such as Egypt, United States and China for senior students.[4]
Clubs
The school has two main clubs- the Math Club, which organizes Math competitions, and the Public Speaking Club, which organizes debates.
Environmental operations
The school has three recycling bins, located in the Boys' and Girls' Blocks. The collected materials are given to Emirates Environmental Group for recycling. The school also actively participates in can collection drives, clean up drives, awareness campaigns and environmental education.[5]
Sports
DPS Dubai has teams for cricket, football, swimming, basketball, athletics, table tennis and badminton at different age levels. These teams practice on the three grounds, and the swimming pool of the school. The team also practices before school hours. DPS is an all-rounder by winning many trophies in the field of sports.[6]
