Ellie Goulding concert chronology |
The Delirium World Tour is the third headlining concert tour by British recording artist Ellie Goulding to promote her third studio album, Delirium (2015). The tour commenced on 21 January 2016, in Hamburg, Germany and will continue until 12 October 2016, in Perth, Australia.
Show Synopsis
The Ellie Goulding show begins at two large heavy curtains with Goulding pictures on them fall to the ground and are quickly pulled off in the dark before a large bang and dramatically multiple white large LED Screens appear to begin the Intro (Delirium) as we see the full stage for the first time. Gradually as the music gets loader an image on the center screen of Ellie herself starts to sharpen. As the music crescendos and the crowd await the bangs begin again and a few images of Goulding collide each other on the busy screens building up until the screens go golden and the song Aftertaste begins.
4 male dancers walk down from platforms on stage left and right holding 2 large golden curtains that have been held from the roof since the start of the support acts to be mysteriously seen. The curtains are overlapped and held to the ground by two dancers as the other two dancers dance a ruitene that is repeated through the number. Ellie Goulding is lifted by the main exit & entrance lift secretly behind the gold curtains as only the crowd on the tier at the very edges can see her just now. She also secretly is lifted by a special shiny platform before the spotlight is on her behind the curtains beginning the almost 2hrs of singing for her. And as she sings the lyrics "Don't Break, Don't Fade" the curtains fall to the floor and shee appears as the crowd scream. The curtains are pulled off as the platforms goes down and she walks to the front of the stage to spin around with her dancers for the ballad chorus before really beginning to show off her dancing in the second verse whilst to dancers quietly take of the support for Ellie's back as she went up the platform and bring on the drums. The other two dancers take off her black and gold jacket to reveal a pair of fringed hot pants
