The 2019 European Parliament election in Spain will be held no later than 2019, to elect the Spanish delegation to the European Parliament. All 54 seats allocated to Spain as per the Treaty of Lisbon will be up for election.

Electoral system

All 54 seats will be elected in a single multi-member district, consisting of the country's territory, using the D'Hondt method and a closed-list proportional representation system. Voting will be on the basis of universal suffrage in a secret ballot. There will be no electoral threshold for a party to be entitled to enter the seat distribution. However, the use of the D'Hondt method will result in an effective threshold dependant on the district magnitude.[1]
