Molluscs

Garnotia is also an obsolete genus level name for some species of calyptraeid gastropods (Calyptraeidae) which are currently considered to belong to the genus Crepidula. It contains species with hooked shells and two muscle scars like Crepidula adunca. However species that have been assigned to this genus have been show to be monophyletic with most other Crepidula species, including the type species of the genus, Crepidula fornicata.
