Ion Corvin is a commune in Constanţa County, Romania. It includes five villages:
- Ion Corvin - named after John Hunyadi (historical names: Cuzgun, Template:Lang-tr)
- Brebeni (historical name: Ciucurchioi, Template:Lang-tr)
- Crângu (historical names: Caramat until 1968, Template:Lang-tr)
- Rariştea (historical names: Gura Orman, Bazarghian)
- Viile (historical name: Beilic until 1964, Template:Lang-tr)
The territory of the commune also includes the former village of Mirceşti (historical name: Demircea), located at 44°8′0″N 27°48′0″E / 44.13333°N 27.80000°E, disestablished by Presidential Decree in 1977.
Demographics
At the 2011 census, Ion Corvin had 1,844 Romanians (95.59%), 26 Roma (1.35%), 57 Turks (2.95%), 2 others (0.10%).[2]
