1953 Iranian parliamentary dissolution referendum

A referendum on the dissolution of Parliament was held in Iran between 3 and 10 August 1953.[1] The result saw 99.9% vote in favour of the dissolution.[2] The government was overthrown in a coup d'état on 19 August.
