Kodalia [কোদালিয়া] is a census town in Hooghly district in the Indian state of West Bengal. It is under Chinsurah police stations in Chinsurah subdivision.[1]

Kodalia is located at 22°54′26″N 88°22′48″E / 22.90724°N 88.379956°E / 22.90724; 88.379956.

Demographics

As of 2001 India census,[2] Kodalia had a population of 8068. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Kodalia has an average literacy rate of 70%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 75%, and female literacy is 64%. In Kodalia, 11% of the population is under 6 years of age.
