Because = These fortresses are called "Ancient mountain castle" 古代山城(こだいさんじょう)Kodaisanjyō on the Japanese page. They were inspired by Korean, but also Chinese style mountain city in the 8th century (中国式山城). On the Japanese page the word "korean" is not used.
