List of wine-producing countries

This is an old revision of this page, as edited by 110.22.118.129 (talk) at 12:31, 9 October 2018 (amended my previous edit. I had added Poland, but had provided wrong tonne data. According to Oxford Companion to Wine, Poland produces 65000 bottles of wine, which is 48750 litres. I wrongly converted this to 48750 TONNES (putting Poland in 32nd), instead of 48750 KILOGRAMS. I've amended it to 49 tonnes (rounded up from 48.75), which puts Poland at #72). The following is a list of the top wine-producing countries and their volume of wine production for the year 2014 in metric tonnes, according to the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), which is an agency of the United Nations; this is the latest information available from the FAO.

Their data show a total worldwide production of 31 million tonnes (1,000 kg) of wine (which roughly corresponds to 1,000 l) with the top 15 producing countries accounting for over 90% of the total.[1]
