Popular Unity (Greek: Λαϊκή Ενότητα, Laïkí Enótita) is a parliamentary group that was founded and joined on 21 August 2015 by 25 Greek MPs, formerly of Syriza[1], as a result of Alexis Tsipras' handling of the Greek bailout agreement of 2015. It will be led by the former Minister of Energy in the Syriza government, Panagiotis Lafazanis. Dimitris Stratoulis and Konstantinos Isyhos, two other ministers of Tsipras' cabinet sacked in July 2015 also joined the new party.[2]
