Frank Baum's scripts, plays, or works burned in the fire that destroyed Baum's Opera House on March 8, 1882. It's hard to prove a negative, but the most detailed account of the fire, national news, appears in The Oil Echo [Richburg, NY], 8 March 1882. L. F. Baum registered 3 plays for copyright while manager of Baum's Opera House; he produced 2 of them after the fire. One might claim the 3rd script burned, but there's no evidence. undo

Plenty of evidence exists in newspaper announcements, advertisements, and reviews to show the performances and events that took place in Baum's Opera House. The Richburg, NY, Oil Echo contains the bulk of these items. The New York Clipper and the New York Mirror have reports of performances at Baum's Opera House. So do other newspapers of western New York state of the time undo
