Scott Road station is located on an elevated portion of the Expo Line, a part of Vancouver, British Columbia's SkyTrain rapid transit system. The station itself is in northern Surrey.
Location
The Scott Road station is located at the interchange between the King George Highway and Scott Road, at the south end of the Pattullo Bridge, connecting Surrey and New Westminster.
History
The Scott Road station was built in 1990 as the terminus of the first extension of the Expo Line. (This extension included two stations; Scott Road and Columbia in New Westminster).
The station itself is located in an industrial district, but it is also one of the most important transfer points for TransLink passengers. Unlike most stations, which rely on passengers arriving by foot or by bus, this station is adjacent to the largest park and ride lot operated by TransLink, with 1471 spaces.[1] Current daily charge is CAD $3.00.
This station received a new elevator, accessibility improvements, new bus loop, and upgraded parking lot as part of the Expo Line upgrades between early 2013 and early 2014.[3]
Services
The Scott Road station is a major connection point for the TransLink bus routes that service Surrey, North Delta, and Ladner.
