Sonakhali is a village, in Daspur II CD Block in Ghatal subdivision of Paschim Medinipur district in the state of West Bengal, India.

The headquarters of Daspur II CD Block are located at Sonakhali.[1]

Demographics

As per 2011 Census of India Sonakhali had a total population of 2,014 of which 1,008 (50%) were males and 1,006 (50%) were females. Population below 6 years was 213. The total number of literates in Sonakhali was 1,544 (76.66% of the population over 6 years).[2]

Transport

Sonakhali stands at the meeting point of Harekrishnapur-Sonakhali Road and Gopiganj-Sultannagar Road.[3]
