History
TV5 News Channel was inaugurated on October 2, 2007 by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy. The channel's Editorial team consists of Editor, Brahmananda Reddy, and senior Output Editor Baraar Vijaya kumar, Business Editor P Vasanth Kumar,political editor vijaya narayan
The Channel
It telecasts 24 hourly news bulletins, 30 special news bulletins, with the support of 294 special reporters in every constituency of the state of Andhra Pradesh, 8 OB vans, and 6 metro bureaus.
The channel courted controversy on Jan 07 when it aired a story linking the death of YS Rajasekhara Reddy to the Reliance Group. Police have registered cases against the channel.
The Channel busted an International Smugling gang's activity by joint operation with Chittore district cops and the Crime Team in TV5 Led by Ganti Ramakrishna Crime Buaero Chief(TV5). The Channel saved an antique GREEN DIAMOND worth ₹3500 Crores.
The channel's unique selling proposition is its business content. Reputed market analysts C Kutumba Rao, P Balasubramanyam, VVK Prasad, Sundar Raju and Seshu provide valuable financial analysis to the audience on a day-t-day basis.
