DoB

[edit]

Article states different dates (1988-12-11, 1988-12-12).--84.185.199.81 (talk) 15:48, 9 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Date of birth

[edit]

WP:BLP allows DoB sourced from iMDB. As per precedence set by BLP:

  • Do not use public records that include personal details, such as date of birth, home value, traffic citations, vehicle registrations, and home or business addresses. Where primary-source material has been discussed by a reliable secondary source, it may be acceptable to rely on it to augment the secondary source, subject to the restrictions of this policy, no original research, and the other sourcing policies

Negative or promotional information is must be cited by reliable sources, date of birth, and other trivial information does have laxer inclusion criteria. Regardless, I am adding a reliable source in this case.

@Tenebrae:, the comment "commented out uncited personal claims of birth date and birthplace, which per WP:BLP can be removed immediately. Note Wikipedia disallows the wikia IMDb from being used as a reference source. Presuming can be cited, so not deleting for now" is not considered precedence. Not sure what you mean. Rotten Tomatoes gave only a month and and a day, and only a state -- no year, no city. And if you're going to add personal-life claims such as birth date and place to a biography of a living person, that needs citation in the article. Saying something in the edit summary isn't a citation. --Tenebrae (talk) 19:42, 5 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Tenebrae:, I added a better source to prevent controversy, just for future reference DoB does have laxer inclusion requirements iMDB is allowed unless subject in question objects. Valoem talk contrib 19:45, 5 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Valoem: I'm afraid IMDb is not a reliable source for biographical claims and is disallowed as a reference. See WP:UGC. Also, as I have found on the talk page at Wikipedia:WikiProject Biography, birth-claim verifiability requirements are not lax. I'd be interested in where it says that. --Tenebrae (talk) 19:49, 5 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Third child

[edit]

While it may be likely that they have a third child, it remains unsourced. Infobox entries must be supported by reliable sourcing within the article. If the birth is so well known, it should not be difficult to find a source which states that fact. ☾Loriendrew☽ (ring-ring) 13:20, 3 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
