Untitled[edit]

I saw Barbel at Alternatives in London in 2007. This article seems quite sparse, I wonder if anyone is interested in enlarging it? Frank Walsh (1962) 17:21, 15 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Use of German umlaut in the page title[edit]

I think the page should be renamed to Bärbel Mohr, i.e. using an umlaut, instead of Barbel Mohr. The reason is that her first name is written correctly with an Umlaut. The use of the unadorned letters (i.e. the letters without the dots, auo) instead of the umlauts (e.g. äüö) is incorrect, as this completely changes the pronunciation of the letters and the meaning of words. There do exists an alternative writing for umlauts, e.g. ä, ü, ö becomes ae, ue, oe, but these are only used if the real characters are unavailable, e.g. if on wants to restrict oneself to the, e.g., the ASCII characters.

Is there a renaming operation on Wikipedia or do I have to create a new page (with the disadvantage that the editing history gets lost)? -- User:Quizquaz 23:16, 20 December 2008 (CET)
