Additional Political and Early Life Info
[edit]Hi there, I just added some more info to Sen. Betsy Johnsons biography on her early life as a pilot and businesswoman, along with also some election history during her time in the State House and Senate. I did a summary paragraph on her political reputation and voting positions. I don't know how to reclassify this article from being a stub, if someone is able to do that.
car crash
[edit]Per WP:LEAD prominent controversy should be considered for inclusion. The fact used to avoid responsibility citing her political position makes the relevance strong and it received significant, independent, reliable coverage in multiple sources. Graywalls (talk) 22:06, 10 July 2022 (UTC) @Jon698:
- It is a minor political scandal that half of legislators in the country use to avoid punishment for violating driving laws. The media and public will forget about this in a week. Jon698 (talk) 22:14, 10 July 2022 (UTC)
- @Jon698:, Causing an injury accident, then trying to skirt responsibilities for injuries she caused isn't exactly the same as a minor speeding ticket. Your opinion that it will be forgotten doesn't trivialize the contents. Graywalls (talk) 22:21, 10 July 2022 (UTC)
- A minor car accident does not make a Watergate. When it sinks her campaign and has hundreds of new stories about it then it would warrant being in the lead, but in its current state it is just a political mudsling that will last a few days at best during the campaign. Jon698 (talk) 22:22, 10 July 2022 (UTC)
- @Jon698:, crash of this nature does not warrant its own stand alone article like Car Crash of Betsy Johnson, but I absolutely disagree with you that it does not deserve its own subsection within the article and a brief mention in the lead. Graywalls (talk) 00:40, 12 July 2022 (UTC)
