Descendant of Mary Todd Lincoln
[edit]Kennedy is "a direct descendant of Mary Todd Lincoln", Phillip Alder wrote in 2000, when he was a syndicated bridge columnist (ref name=alder2000). Our MTL biography implies her descendants are Abraham Lincoln's descendants.

2003 Venice Cup
[edit]Kennedy has won four world championships (all 1974 to 1984 in partnership with Carol Sanders) according to NYTimes columns by Phillip Alder 2005 and 2011. In her WBF biography the World Bridge Federation credits her with several but identifies only those four.
Several days after the 2005 column, Alder's NYTimes 2005-07-21 column closes with a correction: not 4 world championships but 5, including the 2003 Venice Cup. We list Kennedy first among six players on that VC champion team.
The WBF player database is down as I write.
It's possible Kennedy was a member of the 2003 VC winning team but played too few deals in the final match to qualify as a winner of that world championship. As an editor here in recent years I have inferred that we rely on older print sources for such details; they are not included in the online WBF players/results database. But the most recent such note in our Venice Cup concerns "Frey–Reess in 2005", which implies a print source that covers 2003.

Louisiana Hall of Fame (Award)
[edit]The ACBL HOF citation says Betty Kennedy was "a recipient of the Louisiana Hall of Fame Award in 1993 (the second woman"[1]. The WBF biography says BAK was "inducted into the Louisiana Hall of Fame 1993 (the second woman"[2].
In a quick search online I find only the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame, no hit for 'Kennedy', and Louisiana Music Hall of Fame.
