Blue Ice (film)

[edit]

Does anybody (anybody who has seen the film) know if the title Blue Ice (film) is some kind of reference to this kind of blue ice? That person could then either delete or expand the reference here.--ospalh (talk) 13:45, 26 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Found a review that mentions it; added as a ref to the article.--NapoliRoma (talk) 15:55, 26 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure how to add a dead link tag, but the associated press related article now links back to the homepage —Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.102.91.117 (talk) 16:17, 5 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Actual disinfectant used not mentioned

[edit]

What is the blue disinfectant that is being used? 76.10.128.192 (talk) 04:00, 24 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

One trade name is Racasan--Petebutt (talk) 22:02, 21 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, after doing a search using Racasan and finding a Boeing manual [1] I found the following list under "Toilet Flushing":
  • Turco Deodair (61102)
  • Jet Degerm (15108)
  • West Sanitor Fluid (64807)
  • Dess-Air Dessair Ltd London
  • Wal London, E.C.2
  • Monogram DG-19 (29780)
  • Racasan Airline Powder (K1618)
  • Super Sanitar (64807)
This is progress, however in the short time I've taken using those to find ingredient lists I couldn't really find yet what they are. They're possibly related to 1,4-Dichlorobenzene but that's only a guess so far. 76.10.128.192 (talk) 00:23, 7 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

"precipitation" ?

[edit]

If I were looking for the proper "Blue ice" article on a disambiguation page, with only the disambiguating terms for guidance, I would much more readily identify it as being "the blue ice having to do with aviation" than "the blue ice that is, uh, a meteorological phenomenon?"

I would suggest that the title be reverted back to "Blue ice (aircraft)", or perhaps changed to "Blue ice (aviation)". --NapoliRoma (talk) 20:32, 12 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Blue ice (precipitation)Blue ice (aviation) – It may come from the sky, but it's not a natural phenomenon. It's commonly associated with aircraft and aviation, so that should be the disambiguator. Also see section by @NapoliRoma: above. – Train2104 (t • c) 03:17, 19 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
