This article should adhere to the gender identity guideline because it contains material about one or more trans women. Precedence should be given to self-designation as reported in the most up-to-date reliable sources, anywhere in article space, even when it doesn't match what's most common in reliable sources. Any person whose gender might be questioned should be referred to by the pronouns, possessive adjectives, and gendered nouns (for example "man/woman", "waiter/waitress", "chairman/chairwoman") that reflect that person's latest expressed gender self-identification. Some people go by singular they pronouns, which are acceptable for use in articles. This applies in references to any phase of that person's life, unless the subject has indicated a preference otherwise. Former, pre-transition names may only be included if the person was notable while using the name; outside of the main biographical article, such names should only appear once, in a footnote or parentheses. If material violating this guideline is repeatedly inserted, or if there are other related issues, please report the issue to the LGBTQ+ WikiProject, or, in the case of living people, to the BLP noticeboard. |

Including Stonie image
[edit]I have re-added the image of Stonie to the gay porn section of the article. I did this in line with WP:IMAGE RELEVANCE as I believe that Brittany's appearance during the gay porn and Borat portions of her career are highly relevant to the article. Brittany's notability flows (at least in part) from this period of her life. I suspect many readers will come to this article from the Borat page and will expect to see a pre-transition image included. The image was made available by Brittany's manager and with her consent, so I think that the ususal disinclination to include a pre-transition image (whilst generally appropriate) is not applicable to this case. I sought advice from an admin experienced in BLP issues and with an interest in LGBT issues (see here) - of course, the responsibility for the edit is mine. I request that anyone with a view on the inclusion of a Stonie image (for or against) please add to a discussion here rather than reverting my addition unless there is a strong policy case against my re-addition which I have missed. I am quite willing to post a neutral invitation for views either at WP:BLPN or WT:LGBT or both, if that is thought helpful. Thanks. EdChem (talk) 03:05, 23 December 2012 (UTC)

"First to move from gay actor to trans porn"
[edit]Hi!
I just wanted to point out, regarding the following claim in the article; "J. C. Adams, who has been writing about gay pornography since at least 1998, commented that Brittany's transsexual performance "may actually be the first time a gay adult performer has undergone the switch and re-emerged as a MTF actor. (Others have donned drag, of course, but that's a different animal.)"[29] Jason Sechrest confirmed that Brittany was the first to move from gay male to trans woman porn star, describing the movie as "groundbreaking".[5]"
In fact, Brittany was not the first to do so; the first was the transsexual porn actress Stasha, who did so already in the early 90's when moving from performing in gay porn before transitioning and performing in transsexual pornography.
Oh, another thing; the article does not mention how Brittany died? Is it unknown?
