Birth date

[edit]

What is his birth date? October 21, 1896 or August 21, 1893? --216.8.163.113 23:21, 7 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, that's a problem. I'm on the case. --Chomeara 12:48, 15 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Contradicts other page.

[edit]

This page claims that moran was not killed in the valentines day massacure because he was late. The page of the massacure claims he saw the police car. someone please choose one of the other! Sorry for the poor spelling and punctuation I am in a hurry.

---Moran wasn't killed in the St. Valentine's Day Massacre because he WAS late. As he was arriving, he saw the police car, and fled thinking that the police were going to arrest them. So both are right, just not worded correctly. Because he was late and he did see the car. Heather0809 07:44, 1 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The image was clearly not a mug shot, and no valid copyright information could be found. It is also found here. Any other images would be great! -Lanoitarus (talk) .:. 07:11, 17 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I'd suggest del omerta; it's a Mafia concept & wouldn't (strictly) have applied to the Irishman... Trekphiler 08:51, 27 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Birth of Moran

[edit]

When was he born? the article isn't exactly clear because it has 3 different dates.-Giant89 18:50, 6 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Catholic

[edit]

Trying to determine whether Moran or Capone was the "better" Catholic is a little like trying to determine whether you'd rather corner an asp or a cobra. Wahkeenah 23:39, 28 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

To say nothing of being totally irrelevant to an encyclopedia article.76.22.22.167 23:06, 7 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Seconded. 76.117.79.43 (talk) 06:44, 22 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Henderson, Kentucky

[edit]

I don't feel this is important. At all. I'm removing the last sentence about how Henderson, KY lost its only famous resident, but personally, the whole thing needs to be removed. I could tell ten thousand lame stories about mob guys - but are any of them worthy of inclusion in an encyclopedia? No. 165.134.194.139 (talk) 22:06, 3 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Horrible sourcing

[edit]

As it stands almost this entire article could be deleted boldly because of the lack of citations. There are a number of facts that I have seen and heard with differing results. This is certainly an article that had a lot of work put into it, but it just states too much without any backing. Would the author(s) care to rectify this? I'd hate to see the work go to waste. 75.135.77.154 (talk) 04:00, 7 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Weak lead

[edit]

This was today's Jeopardy question at work because of St. Valentine's Day ... how can the massacre of the same name not be in the lead? It's important to make note of "What the person did" and "Why the person is significant" MOS:BIO#Opening_paragraph Hutcher (talk) 02:05, 13 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Name change

[edit]

How did Adelard Cunin become George Clarence Moran, and finally "Bugs" Moran? The article skips over this aspect completely. — QuicksilverT @ 02:22, 17 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
