This article was the subject of an educational assignment in Spring 2015. Further details were available on the "Education Program:Diablo Valley College/ENGL 123: Literature and Composition "Reading and Writing the Harlem Renaissance" (Spring 2015)" page, which is now unavailable on the wiki.
The introductory section seemed to me to be confused and to show the hand of too many authors; there seemed to be two introductions in fact, which overlapped and were repetitive. I have tried to merge those two and put things more in chronological order. I have also added a photo. It seems to be the only one available on the Internet, even though it is only 2 kb. There were also some errors, such as the spelling of 'Earnest', which prevented the link working properly, which I have corrected. The references also needed tidying up, since there were several which pointed to the same book. Hope this helps. Kanjuzi (talk) 19:06, 5 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
There was too much information in the lead, and the information I removed was included in headings further down. I split longer paragraphs into shorter paragraphs for easier reading. Took out some non-relevant info. Changed some headings and moved the death heading to the end. Removed External Links heading and info because the items were either dead links or not that relevant.
