Years Active[edit]

So I'm pretty sure he hasn't been around since 1835. So that needs to be edited. I don't know what to though, so I didn't change it. Also present not future.. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 211.31.173.242 (talk) 12:01, 26 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of nicknames from infobox[edit]

I have removed the nicknames from the 'also known as' field of the infobox. The field is meant for alternate names used professionally and not covered elsewhere in the infobox. It is not for nicknames. According to the article he has used none of those names professionally, so please do not re-add them to the infobox. :) Shinyang-i (talk) 07:06, 13 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Not singer but entertainer[edit]

I think the page should be moved to entertainer because he is active as singer and actor. The same goes to his group member Key. What do you think?--Thebestwinter (talk) 17:02, 15 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Choi Min-ho (entertainer)Choi Min-ho (singer) – English language media calls the singer a singer: IBTimes December 30, 2016 "SHINee Minho's mother wants singer to get a girlfriend in 2017" alternatively (rapper) By NST New Straits Times "namely Choi Min-ho, the 26-year-old rapper of the K-Pop boy group, SHINee" but mainly (singer). • Oppose. Appears to be relatively equal parts singer and actor - award-nominated/winning in both disciplines - so "entertainer" is an appropriate disambiguator. Dohn joe (talk) 14:51, 15 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose per reasoning above; he isn't solely known for singing Alexanderlee (talk) 15:59, 16 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move 30 June 2018[edit]

– Per WP:PRIMARYTOPIC, the singer and actor is by far the most searched subject in the English-speaking world with this name. In the past year, Choi Min-ho (entertainer) an average of about 1,300 views (excluding the spike in December, which was natural after the death of bandmate Kim Jong-hyun). Choi Min-ho (volleyball) peaked at 18 views in a single day this past May, while Choi Min-ho (judoka) averages about 20 views per day, with a slight spike in the 200s last October. A Google search for "Choi Min-ho" yeilds one result of "Choi Min-ho (judoka)" on the first page, while the rest are about the singer and actor. This is reflected in the numerous pages thereafter. A search under Google News yields results entirely about the singer and actor. It's safe to assume that, when readers are searching for a Choi Min-ho, they are looking for the Shinee member more than the other subjects. xplicit 01:02, 30 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support if only to get rid of the ghastly (entertainer) dab for someone who isn't. In ictu oculi (talk) 08:36, 30 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Why no military service[edit]

Typically male kpop idols’ military service is mentioned under “Personal.” Where’s Minho’s? E A (talk) 23:19, 19 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
